The bill aims to raise education investment from 4.5% to 7.8% of gross provincial product, but proposed revenue sources would bring in less than 9 billion pesos a year. Lawmaker Matías Lapadula questioned levies on gas, Banco Tierra del Fuego and municipal revenue.

The union filed an unconstitutionality action against Decree 1592-ME-2026 and sought an injunction suspending the mechanism. It challenges the automatic termination of teachers appointed because of scarcity at the end of the school year even if the vacancy continues, and says that category is absent from the Teaching Statute.
Misiones
Of 39,006 applications, 19,928 were awarded, 9,317 are still under review, and 8,117 were rejected. The new call will begin on August 10 for the mandatory level and on the 18th for the higher level, with municipal and school assistance in case of platform failures.

Santa Fe
The Province affirmed that the schools remained open, ratified the discount for the day not worked and enabled an affidavit for those who attended. It will not participate in Human Capital monitoring because it uses its own system, while Amsafé, Ctera and university professors hold the protest.
Autonomous City of Buenos Aires
Lawmakers approved a declaration of repudiation after teachers and assistants in the Vacations at School programme were told they would receive less than originally offered. The statement does not bind the executive, but it supports the unions' demand.
Santa Cruz
Decree 673 recognises staff who worked every weekday from February through June 30. The fixed payment is non-salary and non-bonusable, covering classroom teachers, supervisors, school leaders and staff performing specific educational support duties.
San Luis
The teachers' union rejected the 20% staged increase announced by Claudio Poggi and demanded an immediate real wage recovery. According to UTEP, San Luis lost 52% of purchasing power since September 2023 and almost one third of wages remain non-remunerative sums.
San Juan
Emilio Achem said the province climbed from the next-to-last position to seventh place nationally in teacher salaries. Negotiations with UDAP, UDA and AMET remain open, with an offer of 3% in August, 3% in October and improvements in connectivity, the teacher scale and remote-area supplements.
