The Government of Santa Fe affirmed that the provincial schools remained open and that classes were held normally during the teaching strike on Monday, August 3. At the same time, he confirmed that he will deduct the day for those who have not worked. The national measure of Ctera was accompanied in the province by Amsafé and coincided with a strike by teachers at the National University of Rosario.
The provincial administration enabled on the portal Mi Legajo an Affidavit of Provision of Services for teachers, directors and school assistants who attended their positions. Wednesday will be the last day to complete the process. This information will be used both for the settlement of the business day and to calculate the Asistencia Perfecta premium in its monthly and quarterly components. The lack of declaration will lead to the presumption that the agent did not provide services.
Spokesperson Virginia Coudannes maintained that the provincial monitoring system is transparent and efficient and noted that consolidated data will be disseminated after the close of declarations. He also questioned whether the 90% mentioned in the union vote against the joint proposal reflects real activity, because, he stated, the establishments were open and had staff during the day.
Santa Fe decided not to participate in the control procedure that the Ministry of Human Capital will carry out in schools throughout the country. The Province justified this separation in the existence of its own sworn declaration mechanism. National supervision was announced within the framework of Law 27,802, which considers educational activity essential and requires guaranteeing a minimum coverage of 75% of classes.
The protest brought together demands from different levels. Ctera requested the convocation of the national teaching parity and Amsafé adhered after rejecting the Santa Fe salary proposal for the second semester. The union leadership added the restitution of the National Teacher Incentive Fund, the loss of purchasing power and the cut of allocations for infrastructure among the reasons for the strike.
In higher education, Conadu called for the national measure to demand the application of the University Financing Law and the association Coad accompanied it in the UNR. The operational result of the day will be subject to two different records: on Wednesday the provincial system will close and then Santa Fe will report the statements received, while the Nation will process its own monitoring without the participation of the Santa Fe Ministry of Education.
