The House of Representatives of Misiones will begin on Monday, 24 of August, the detailed analysis of the provincial Budget for 2027. Ministers and heads of around 40 agencies will present for approximately a month before the deputies to explain the allocated items, answer questions, and provide information before the drafting of the report.
The first session will open at 8 with the President of Energy of Misiones, Julio César Barreto. Then Juan Carlos Pereira from the Provincial Institute of Housing Development; Juan Carlos Balsari from the General Directorate of Architecture; and Nicolás Mazal Bazán from the Provincial Directorate of Roads will speak.
Monday's schedule will continue with the Minister of Sports, Aldo Steinhorst, at 9.20; the Minister of Public Health, Héctor González, at 9.40; and the president of the Social Security Institute, Lisandro Benmaor, at 10. In this way, the opening will focus on energy, housing, infrastructure, sports, health, and social security.
On Tuesday 25, from 10.30, the president of the Superior Court of Justice, Rossana Pía Venchiarutti, and the attorney general, Carlos Giménez, will speak. At 10.50 it will be the turn of the Misiones Water and Sanitation Institute, led by Joaquín Sánchez. Presentations from other areas will continue according to the commission's calendar.
The proposal submitted by Hugo Passalacqua estimates spending of 5.206.134.722.000 Argentine pesos, equivalent to about 5,206 billion pesos. Around 63% of resources are allocated to health, education and social development. That share reflects the provincial executive's stated priority, although execution will depend on actual revenue and national transfers. Finance Minister Adolfo Safrán will close the hearings later, when the national budget and its 2027 inflation estimate are clearer.
The presentations do not imply automatic approval of the items. Their purpose is to produce information so that the Commission on Budget, Taxes, Finance, and Economic Affairs can draft an opinion and send the file to the chamber. The total amount, the distribution, and the authorizations from the Executive can still receive observations and modifications during the legislative process.
