The parliamentary initiative requests detailed information from the national government about Meitner Energy, the corporate structure of the venture and ownership of the intellectual property linked to the new projects.
It also seeks clarity on the planned tax benefits, the future of Nucleoeléctrica Argentina, Dioxitek and CAREM, and the reasons for recent dismissals at the National Atomic Energy Commission.
Unión por la Patria said nuclear energy must be treated as a strategic policy rather than an area subordinated to private or mostly foreign interests.
The bloc clarified that it does not reject private investment itself, but argued that any investment process must preserve technological sovereignty, Argentine intellectual property, public companies and employment continuity for specialised workers.
