Roger Elías Nediani made his re-election bid as mayor of La Banda official and presented the electoral structure with which he will compete in the 2 August municipal elections.

The municipal executive ticket will include Nediani as mayoral candidate and Victoria Torres as deputy mayoral candidate. The space also confirmed Miguel Estefán as its candidate for Ombudsman.

The presentation completes Frente Compromiso y Unidad's offer to compete for control of the municipality and seek representation in the Deliberative Council for the next term.

The electoral setup includes two linked lists. The first, called Movimiento Fundacional, is headed by Miguel Ángel Montenegro, María Graciela Rosales, Horacio Mocaggata, María Cristina Ríos and Roberto Jaimes.

That list also includes Olga Nancy Herrero, Alberto Carabajal, Agustina Alfonzo, Rubén More, María Gabriela Coronel, Leonardo Caro and Marisa Mónica Concha.

The second linked list, Compromiso y Participación Ciudadana, will be headed by Mariana Morales, José Francisco Molina, Patricia Ester, Hugo Orlando Rojas and Susana Silva.

It also includes Rubén Villacorta, Silvia Pérez, Daniel Beltrán, Doris Navarro, Ezequiel Roldán, Maira Filippi and Luciano Diosquez.

With the candidacies now defined, the local ruling space will seek to organise its political base and expand legislative representation in a municipal election centred on the continuity of government in La Banda.
