A creativity and innovation workshop at Formosa's Science and Technology Hub paired young developers with five companies to turn real production problems into software. The project belongs to the 2026 Industrial Competitiveness Programme.
During the first month, teams mapped processes at Alfaneda, Distribuidora Quilmes, Nordic, Ingeniería Biomédica and HAC Presidente Juan Domingo Perón. Each proposal therefore starts with an identified user and problem.
Developers presented methods and early prototypes. Industry director Darío Vergara said four months remain to refine, test and assess each tool through cost-benefit analysis.
The innovation cluster, Science and Technology Secretariat and Alberto Marcelo Zorrilla Polytechnic Institute provide training, infrastructure and technical guidance. Participants see how software affects time, costs, traceability and quality.
The aim extends beyond five bespoke systems: some tools could become ventures and be adapted for other companies. Teams must separate plant-specific functions from reusable products.
Consultants toured the Hub and Polytechnic Institute. The next step is testing inside each company and measuring results to determine whether the programme produces applicable improvements and technology businesses.
