The Paseo Ambiental del Sur will receive visitors on 19 of August at Villa Soldati with a guided, free, one-hour activity. Participation requires prior registration. The proposal combines environmental education, agroecological production, and renewable energy demonstrations in a space designed as an open classroom to learn about practices applied in the south of the City.
The tour is organized around three thematic areas. Among the productive contents are gardens cultivated in soil and hydroponic systems under agroecological principles. You can also observe nurseries of horticultural species and native plants, as well as compost bins used to recover organic waste and turn it into a resource for green spaces. Each station allows you to relate a specific practice with its function within the property.
The visit includes a wetland and areas of native planting. These environments allow explaining the relationship between biodiversity, water, soil, and vegetation within an urban infrastructure. The proposal is not limited to observing plots: it seeks to show how different environmental solutions can coexist on the same property and serve as educational tools for the community.
Another axis is dedicated to energy generation. The walk features wind turbines and solar panels that allow the public to get closer to the operation of renewable sources. Their inclusion along with orchards, nurseries, and composting presents an integrated view of resource management, although the activity has a demonstrative purpose and does not announce a specific productive or energy expansion.
Within the itinerary, the Environmental Analysis Laboratory of the Environmental Information and Training Center is also included. The laboratory is part of the technical device of CIFA and extends the route beyond the outdoor spaces. The combination of facilities makes it possible to approach the observation of the environment, analysis, and training from complementary perspectives.
The day offers a specific opportunity to get to know the property and its lines of work. Those who wish to participate must complete the registration and show up on the indicated date. The free admission removes the access cost but does not replace prior reservation. The immediate scope is educational: to bring experiences of urban agriculture, environmental restoration, and clean energies to visitors of the City.
