The government of Buenos Aires province again accused the national administration of blocking guarantees needed to access international financing for public works.
The claim was made by Buenos Aires Government Minister Carlos Bianco during the weekly press conference in La Plata. He said Economy Minister Luis Caputo is not signing the authorisations required for the province to take loans from international organisations.
Bianco linked that delay to a political decision to financially suffocate the district governed by Axel Kicillof. According to the official, Buenos Aires needs those guarantees for priority works, including a sewage treatment plant for La Plata, Berisso and Ensenada.
The claim adds to a broader fiscal dispute. The province says permits remain pending for more than 1 billion dollars in financing, while the national government has allegedly authorised external operations for other jurisdictions.
Bianco also questioned the lack of response from Chief of Cabinet Diego Santilli to a meeting request made by the Buenos Aires administration. He said there was no reply either to a WhatsApp message or to the formal note sent by the province.
The economic diagnosis accompanied the institutional claim. The minister said the microeconomy is deteriorating, citing lower tax revenue, loss of registered jobs, rising household arrears and falling consumption in sectors such as supermarkets, dairy, meat, clothing and medicines.
At the same conference, Buenos Aires Transport Minister Martín Marinucci defended the provincial Vehicle Technical Verification system and criticised national changes allowing mechanic workshops to certify vehicles. He also warned about the decision to freeze the national compensation for the transport social fare.
For Buenos Aires, the conflict combines financing, public works, transport and a political dispute with the Casa Rosada. The province seeks to present the blocked guarantees as part of a pattern of underfunding that affects infrastructure, services and vulnerable users.
