The president of La Libertad Avanza in the City of Buenos Aires, Pilar Ramírez, cooled the possibility of an immediate agreement with PRO and stated that any alliance for 2027 must be based on fundamental political agreements. The legislator warned that gathering forces for a campaign is not enough and pointed out that there is still a long way to go to discuss candidacies, formulas, or a definitive electoral framework.

Ramírez acknowledged that representatives from both sides found some common points in their conversations. Among them, she noted the intention to prevent a return of Kirchnerism. However, she distinguished that general objective from a shared government program and demanded a debate on concrete measures for the City before presenting the understanding as a consolidated convergence.

The libertarian leader also questioned the administration of Jorge Macri. She considered that the PRO of the early years, under the leadership of Mauricio Macri, produced improvements for the district, but she stated that the party gradually faded and that the current administration is disorganized and lacks clear guidelines. In light of that assessment, she suggested that LLA intends to transfer to the Capital the pace of transformations that she attributes to the government of Javier Milei.

The strategy combines negotiation and competition. Ramírez works to contest political control of the district even if an agreement is later reached with the macrismo. While libertarian leaders consider it possible to build an alliance with PRO and radical sectors in the province of Buenos Aires, within the space there are resistances to reproduce that scheme in the City under the leadership of Jorge Macri.

In parallel, LLA began touring Buenos Aires neighborhoods along with figures from the national cabinet to expand its territorial presence in the main historical stronghold of PRO. Ramírez also participates in legislative negotiations for the renewal of authorities of relevant organizations, including Public Prosecutor's Office and Ombudsman's Office. The Legislatura convened a special session for 3 September with those topics on the agenda.

The movements show that the libertarian party seeks to enter negotiations with its own structure and agenda. For now, there is no formal alliance, no agreed formula, nor a mechanism to select candidates. The new fact is the public condition set by Ramírez: any understanding must include programmatic definitions and not just an electoral convenience against Peronism.
