The governor of La Rioja, Ricardo Quintela, invited his counterpart from Córdoba, Martín Llaryora, to join the Peronism unity process looking toward the 2027. elections. The Riojan governor framed this invitation within a strategy aimed at bringing together governors and party leaders around a national alternative.
Quintela highlighted that he maintains a good personal relationship with Llaryora and an even older bond with former governor Juan Schiaretti. He recalled the dealings of both leaders with La Rioja and stated that the inclusion of the Cordoban would be important to expand the space. The invitation acknowledges internal differences but proposes subordinating them to a shared goal.
The governor stated that each sector can maintain its own view while participating in a common construction. For Quintela, the purpose must be to regain the national government and represent a position capable of bringing together the different currents of Peronism. That definition seeks to build a bridge to Cordoban Peronism, which in recent years has maintained a differentiated identity.
In his statements, the man from La Rioja asked not to be afraid of sitting down with leaders of the same movement, even when there are political differences. He pointed out that many times conversations are accepted with actors who think completely differently, while more conditions are imposed for dialogue with party companions. His proposal consists of exposing the differences and seeking a synthesis.
Quintela appears among the governors who promote the reorganization of Justicialist Party and the articulation of provincial figures. The reference to Llaryora and Schiaretti seeks to incorporate into the debate a space with territorial weight and management experience. However, the personal relationships mentioned do not in themselves amount to a programmatic coincidence or a joint electoral decision.
The call did not include candidacies, seat distribution, or a mechanism to organize the internal competition. Nor was a public response from Llaryora to the request disseminated, nor a specifically agreed bilateral meeting. The confirmed fact is Quintela's invitation and his call to put differences aside; the existence of a common front will depend on subsequent negotiations and agreements that have not yet been formalized.
