Entre Ríos completed its first export of non-genetically modified soybean meal from the Port of Concepción del Uruguay. The shipment to Denmark consists of 12,000 tonnes transported aboard the Eco Crossfire.
The operation introduces a new business line for the province based on differentiated, higher-value products. The soybeans were planted, processed, transported and loaded entirely within Entre Ríos.
The product holds RTRS and GMP+ international certifications covering traceability, quality and sustainability throughout the supply chain. This allows it to serve European markets with stricter requirements.
The operation is being carried out by the Argentine Cooperatives Association, Entre Ríos Crushing and the Danish cooperative DLG Agro. Milling took place in Gualeguaychú, while the international shipment was organised through the Concepción del Uruguay terminal.
Economic Development Minister Guillermo Bernaudo highlighted the port significance of the cargo and the growth of specialised operations. He also noted that this is Argentina's only exported non-GMO line fully integrated from seed to final loading.
Martín Erdozain of Entre Ríos Crushing described the shipment as the beginning of a new stage after several years of work and a difficult restructuring process. Gabriel Carpenco of ACA stressed the provincial nature of the project and the goal of keeping production, milling and export activities within Entre Ríos.
