Fernando De Andreis said a shared candidacy for governor in 2027 was possible, while stressing that no concrete talks have taken place. PRO and the libertarian ruling party agreed to meet every two weeks to coordinate and avoid an opposition split that he believes would benefit Peronism.

Fernando De Andreis did not rule out that PRO and La Libertad Avanza share a formula to compete for the governorship of Buenos Aires in 2027. The Macri leader presented this option as a possibility within the approach between both spaces, but clarified that concrete talks to define candidacies, spots on a list, or a formal electoral agreement have not yet begun.

In radio statements, De Andreis stated that a joint formula could be built with generosity, willingness, and creativity. His central argument was electoral: he asserted that Peronism remains competitive in the province of Buenos Aires and that, even when its sectors go through internal disputes, they usually reunite when elections arrive. For this reason, he warned that a divided opposition would increase their chances of victory.

The political signal occurred after a meeting at Casa Rosada. Attending were De Andreis; the Chief of Staff, Diego Santilli; the president of the PRO bloc of deputies, Cristian Ritondo; and Eduardo “Lule” Menem, Undersecretary of Institutional Management of Secretaría General de la Presidencia. After the meeting, the parties agreed to organize a working table with meetings every 15 days.

This mechanism will aim to advance coordination between PRO and the libertarian officialdom. Its creation confirms a periodic channel of dialogue, but it does not equate to a closed electoral alliance. De Andreis placed the understanding at a preliminary stage and left pending the discussion about a possible formula, while other sectors of the yellow party are also analyzing how to position themselves towards 2027.

Among those spaces, the one referenced in Hernán Lacunza appears. In parallel, PRO promotes a territorial construction to present candidates in the main cities of the country and expand its presence in governorships and mayoralties. That deployment shows that the party seeks to maintain its own identity and structure while at the same time exploring coordination with La Libertad Avanza in the main electoral district.

The concrete result, for now, is a biweekly political table and a public statement in favor of studying a shared candidacy. No names, selection rules, distribution of positions, or a schedule to formalize a front were announced. The joint formula was presented as a strategic hypothesis to avoid opposition dispersion, not as a decision adopted by the party leaderships.
