San Luis startups will have until August 18 to apply for the Emprendimiento Argentino 2026 contest. The new date arises from an extension ordered by the Secretariat of Industry, Commerce and Small and Medium Enterprises of the Ministry of Economy of the Nation. The extension expands the margin to complete the required documentation and enter the provincial body. It does not modify the requirements or the order of evaluation established for the contest.

The Ministry of Sustainable Productive Development was chosen to coordinate the first stage of evaluation in San Luis. Its task will include organizing the local process, promoting the participation of projects based in the province and linking them with the actors of the entrepreneurial ecosystem. The provincial selection will function as the first filter of a national call. The announced support will focus on the application process and the articulation with that productive framework.

The contest supports technology, software, biotechnology and digital transformation initiatives, but is not limited to IT activities. It also includes agribusiness, food and beverages, design, manufacturing and other productive sectors. In all cases, projects must show growth potential, innovative capacity and possibilities of generating added value.

The application requires registration in ARCA and a valid Certificado MiPyME. In addition, the business must be less than seven years old, carry out its main activity in San Luis and accredit the sales level defined in the rules. The simultaneous fulfillment of these conditions will determine which presentations can enter the provincial evaluation. The extension allows each certificate to be reviewed before closing, but does not exempt any participant from presenting it.

The deputy director of Investment Project Formulation and Strategic Planning, Celso Simone Salazar, pointed out that the expansion offers a new opportunity to add participants. He linked the call with innovation, growth and integration of San Luis projects into the country's entrepreneurial ecosystem. Provincial support will seek to reduce difficulties during the uploading and review of applications.
