The Salta government established its year-end calendar for provincial public employees and set payment of the second half-year bonus for December 17. The announcement came during a cabinet meeting led by Governor Gustavo Sáenz and combined wage, budget and management decisions for the final two months of 2026.

The schedule begins on November 28 with salaries for that month. The second annual supplementary salary will be deposited on December 17, and December wages will be paid on December 30, meaning all three obligations are due before the end of the year.

Economy and Public Services Minister Roberto Dib Ashur described the plan as a tool providing predictability for state workers and provincial finances. Announcing dates in advance helps families organize commitments while allowing the Treasury to plan available resources.

The meeting also confirmed that the 2027 budget bill will be submitted to the legislature on December 1. Before then, the government will continue meetings to prepare what it calls a federal and participatory budget with input from mayors and lawmakers across the province.

The next meeting will bring together representatives from the Capital and General Güemes departments. The stated objective is to incorporate territorial priorities before the bill is filed, although the final debate over revenue, spending and authorizations will take place in the provincial legislature.

At the same time, the executive announced that it will summon public-sector unions during the final week of November. A new wage-bargaining round will begin in December and will address the conditions under which employees close 2026 and begin the following fiscal year.

The cabinet also reviewed the continuation of social and productive programs. Those mentioned included the “Ver para ser libres” campaign, the Plan Meta for sports and cultural institutions and a microenterprise program managed by the Production and Mining area.

The calendar provides a concrete roadmap but leaves two central negotiations open: the content of the 2027 budget and the outcome of wage talks. The next milestones are the union summons, the December 1 budget filing and effective compliance with the three announced payment dates.
