The governor of San Luis, Claudio Poggi, stated this Wednesday that the province is moving towards a model of greater logistical competitiveness after participating in the inauguration of the new distribution center of the company Tyrolit in the South Industrial Park of the capital city. The investment, which will centralize the firm's logistics for different points of the country, represents a further step in the official strategy to strengthen the industrial profile and take advantage of the district's geographical location.

During the tour of the new facilities, the governor highlighted that the company, with almost four decades of presence in San Luis, decided to move its distribution center to the province, which until now operated from other parts of the country. The measure includes both the products manufactured in the San Luis plant and those manufactured in Morón, in addition to the merchandise imported by the company. "San Luis is becoming a competitive province from a logistical point of view," said Poggi, referring to the new distribution scheme promoted by the firm.

The governor considered that this type of decision adds value to industrial activity and strengthens the productive chain installed in the province. In that sense, he explained that San Luis's strategic location offers advantages for companies seeking to optimize their storage and distribution operations. He noted that the connection with the main road corridors and the relative proximity to both the Pacific and Atlantic ports generate favorable conditions for logistical development.

Poggi also emphasized that the relocation of distribution centers to the province could become a trend for other companies that currently concentrate those operations in the metropolitan area of Buenos Aires. In his view, the growth of infrastructure and the consolidation of industrial parks allow offering a competitive environment for new investments. The governor cited as an example the connectivity of the province through National Route 7, National Route 8 and the Bioceanic Corridor, and indicated that these factors contribute to reducing transport times and costs.

"What was once a weakness, the cost of freight, today becomes an opportunity," he said. In addition to the impact on the operation of companies, the governor linked this process with the generation and maintenance of employment. According to him, the incorporation of logistics activities complements existing industrial production and favors the creation of new jobs, while strengthening the establishment of companies in the province.

The inauguration of Tyrolit's new logistics center is part of the provincial government's strategy to promote industrial investments through the improvement of productive infrastructure and the use of San Luis's geographical position as a distribution node for different markets in the country. With this type of initiative, the Poggi administration seeks to consolidate a productive profile that combines traditional industry with the development of high value-added logistics services.
