Misiones will restore the Ahora Patente program from the Saturday following Governor Hugo Passalacqua's announcement. It applies to vehicle-tax payments in participating municipalities and runs through December 31, 2026. The relaunch combines bank financing, a municipal reduction and a digital channel that was not available in the previous stage.
The main financial condition allows the vehicle tax to be paid in up to 10 interest-free installments. The benefit applies to transactions made with Banco Macro credit cards, so it is not an open plan for every issuer or payment method. The end-of-year deadline makes it available during the remaining five months of 2026 within the program's conditions.
The second part depends on local governments. Municipalities joining the plan will offer a 10% discount on the relevant amount. Participation is decisive: the provincial announcement does not automatically create an identical rule in every municipality. Taxpayers need to verify that their city is included before calculating the reduction and choosing financing.
This edition adds an online route. Payment may be completed on the IPA platform by selecting Macro Click. The addition seeks to remove the need for an in-person procedure and joins consultation and payment in one digital circuit. It nevertheless retains the same card, municipal participation and deadline requirements.
The design divides responsibility among three actors. The province relaunches and communicates the policy; participating municipalities apply the discount to the tax they administer; and Banco Macro provides 10 interest-free installments through its cards and payment option. The final benefit therefore requires every part of the arrangement to be active for each transaction.
Results will be measured by actual use through December 31. Taxpayers must confirm participation, the discounted amount and Macro Click availability before completing payment. The government's goal is to facilitate municipal tax compliance and provide family financing. Municipalities will test whether the 10% reduction and installments expand or accelerate vehicle-tax collection.
