Misiones has again taken an active place on the economic agenda of the trinational corridor. The second International Business Round organized by the Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay Economic Federation, held at Silicon Misiones, closed with business expectations above one million dollars and positioned Posadas as a meeting point for companies, chambers and institutions from the region.
The event brought together more than 90 companies from Argentina, Brazil and Paraguay and drew more than 130 participants, including businesspeople, authorities and institutional representatives. The scale of the day showed that regional integration is not limited to provincial diplomacy or border rhetoric: it is also built through concrete commercial contacts, suppliers, clients and shared value chains.
The schedule combined a multisector agenda in the morning with a segment focused exclusively on the metalworking industry in the afternoon. That structure made it possible to organize diverse interests while concentrating meetings in a sector with industrial pull and the potential to connect production, services and logistics among the three countries.
The economic balance was significant for the SME network. The round generated expected business worth approximately 1.03 million dollars, equivalent to 5,674,039.59 reais, and produced more than 605 commercial connections. In the metalworking segment, more than 126 targeted business meetings were held, a figure that points to the search for specific agreements beyond protocol exchanges.
SEBRAE's support added logistical capacity and institutional validation to an activity that was also declared of interest by the Misiones House of Representatives. This combination of private sector initiative, technical support and public backing appears to be a key element if business rounds are to move beyond isolated events and become operations, sustained contacts and new opportunities.
The leaders of FEBAP Argentina, Brazil and Paraguay framed the closing of the event as part of a regional trajectory spanning more than three decades. For Misiones, the result sends an economic and political signal: the province can use its border location not merely as a geographic condition, but as a platform to capture trade, investment and productive cooperation.
