Construction of the new bridge on National Route 66 has entered a visible stage within Jujuy's infrastructure agenda. Governor Carlos Sadir toured the works and placed the project at the center of a road strategy aimed at improving the connection between Alto Comedero and Palpalá.

The corridor has daily importance for thousands of people who move between those sectors of the Jujuy metropolitan area. For that reason, the intervention is not simply about adding a structure over the route: it seeks to organize heavy traffic, reduce conflict points and provide greater safety on a stretch used constantly.

The project is being carried out by the Government of Jujuy and was presented as part of a broader road infrastructure plan. Within that framework, the new bridge is linked to the need to support urban growth, improve access points and sustain more efficient connectivity on the province's main corridors.

Sadir inspected the progress of the work on site and emphasized the strategic nature of the project for regional mobility. The connection between Alto Comedero and Palpalá concentrates work, education, commercial and service-related traffic, so any improvement in flow affects daily life in the area.

The intervention combines infrastructure and road safety. The expansion of capacity and the reorganization of traffic are aimed at reducing delays and risks at a heavily used point, where urban pressure has made the operation of National Route 66 more demanding.

For Jujuy, the project also signals a public policy that seeks to link road investment with territorial development. In high-demand corridors, infrastructure is no longer only a traffic issue: it becomes support for neighborhoods, nearby cities and economic activities that depend on predictable connections.
