Governor Rogelio Frigerio gathered his expanded cabinet to review the reforms promoted by the Entre Ríos administration and request a more active public defense of the administration. He presented the on-time payment of salaries and pensions as a result that should not be taken for granted, especially in a context of declining State revenues.
During the meeting, he listed changes in the provincial social health program OSER, the pension system, the centralized purchase of medicines, and school cafeterias. He also highlighted the performance of Entre Ríos in the Aprender assessments and the province's incorporation into Hidrovía Paraná-Paraguay. All these points were presented by the governor as part of a single state transformation program.
Frigerio stated that the reforms encountered political and sectoral resistance and attributed part of the criticism to interests affected by the changes. Regarding the national government, he reaffirmed a policy of institutional cooperation based, he explained, on the convenience of Entre Ríos. His definition was to maintain the link with the Nation beyond party affinities or differences.
In pension matters, he highlighted the agreement for ARS 120,000 million intended to finance the Pension Fund. He also mentioned progress in the first concessions of national routes that cross the province. The announcements were part of the official cabinet report and function as management benchmarks; their impact should be measured in the execution of the funds and the works involved.
The meeting included preparation for a possible impact of the El Niño phenomenon. The governor indicated that health, infrastructure, and population protection are working in coordination with municipalities, communes, the Entre Ríos Police, and the Armed Forces. The declared objective is to reduce possible damage, not to prevent a climatic phenomenon whose intensity and consequences still need to be observed.
For the next stage, Frigerio set as priorities improving health and education, carrying out work on 100% of provincial roads, and renewing the equipment of Vialidad. At the closing he asked that 400 officials go out to the media, radio, and social networks to explain the official direction. The vice governor Alicia Aluani supported that call and demanded that the team leave their comfort zone to deepen management.
