Marcos Castro faces expanding informal settlements that are outpacing Viedma's infrastructure
A Tejido Urbano survey says informal-settlement area in Viedma-Carmen de Patagones grew 112% between 2016 and 2025. Marcos Castro now faces flooding, sanitation and service gaps in nine registered settlements in the capital, although the trend predates his administration.
