The Corrientes branch of the Radical Civic Union called its provincial convention for Wednesday, October 7, at 11:30 a.m. The meeting will take place in the Lapacho Hall at Club San Martín in the provincial capital and will focus on a party reform proposal, a management review and the introduction of a digital tool.

Accreditation of eligible delegates will take place before the formal opening. The convention will then verify a quorum, open the session and consider previous minutes. Those steps will determine whether the body is able to address the announced agenda and adopt valid resolutions.

A central item will be the presentation and consideration of a draft prepared by an ad hoc committee. The call did not publish the full proposal or specify which internal articles or procedures it seeks to change, so the scope of the reform will become clear only during the debate.

Without a publicly available text, it is not possible to establish whether the draft concerns the leadership structure, internal election mechanisms, membership rules or other provisions of the party charter. The convention may approve, amend or postpone it, or request further information under its own rules.

The agenda also includes management reports from party authorities. Leaders of the provincial legislative blocs will present their own assessments, offering an account of the political and institutional activity carried out by the Radical party in Corrientes.

Another item is the launch of UCR Conecta, an application described as an internal networking platform. Available information does not yet specify its functions, the data it will collect, access rules or whether it will be limited to members or open to supporters and the wider public.

The meeting also provides for miscellaneous business, which may allow delegates to raise matters outside the main items. Any decision, however, will depend on those issues being formally introduced and considered in accordance with the rules governing the party body.

The outcome will be known after delegates vote on the proposals. Until then, the reform and the digital platform should be understood as matters called for discussion rather than decisions already taken; concrete definitions will emerge from the resolutions and documents published after the convention.
