Jujuy's PJ reaches its list deadline divided between Carolina Moisés and a coalition led by deputy Rubén Rivarola with La Cámpora, Fellner allies and sectors linked to Carlos Haquim and Guillermo Snopek. The internal vote is August 30.
Moisés offered most leadership posts in exchange for heading a unity list, then proposed Carlos de Aparici. Her rivals rejected both options and backed provincial deputy and former minister Facundo Figueroa Caballero.
Moisés draws support from San Pedro and promotes a pragmatic, federal PJ outside Kirchnerism, with backing from Salta governor Gustavo Sáenz. Rival currents united to prevent her controlling the party and its 2027 nominations.
The dispute includes sanctions after the 2026 provincial budget vote and Moisés's later departure from Unión por la Patria with Guillermo Andrada and Sandra Mendoza, widening the break with national leadership.
Successive interventions also weigh on the party. The electoral court removed Ricardo Villada and ordered elections, so the contest determines control of membership, organisation and legislative relations.
Lists close July 30, challenges follow for one week and official slates are due August 8. Without agreement, the August 30 vote will shape 2027, when eight of eleven PJ provincial seats expire.
