UTEP rejects Poggi's raise and denounces the lowest teacher wage in 21 years

The teachers' union rejected the 20% staged increase announced by Claudio Poggi and demanded an immediate real wage recovery. According to UTEP, San Luis lost 52% of purchasing power since September 2023 and almost one third of wages remain non-remunerative sums.

San Juan defends teacher wage talks and says it leads salary increases nationwide

Emilio Achem said the province climbed from the next-to-last position to seventh place nationally in teacher salaries. Negotiations with UDAP, UDA and AMET remain open, with an offer of 3% in August, 3% in October and improvements in connectivity, the teacher scale and remote-area supplements.
